Nature programs us to mate. Love is an emotion and marriage is a man-made institution, all of which may be contrary concepts. One doesn't necessarily have to do with the other. If you can mate with one that you love, then maybe a marriage will work out, but half the time it doesn't. So wait, there's no rush, right? Why not just live your life and enjoy the gifts along the way until you figure all this out for yourself. Someday you'll know how you feel about all of this, then you'll be able to make a good decision for yourself. Until then, enjoy!

I think that in today's society, people will marry someone if they feel the other person can give them security. Security as far as be with them, support them financially and they can get along. Me, I'm old-fashioned, not too old fashioned to where I believe in the arranged marriages, but far enough that I still believe in the love and loyalty and being together for 25 -50 - 75 years. The Till Death Do Us Apart. I have a man that I'm engaged to who loves me and I am deeply in love with him. Some people marry for convenience, or to say their married, or even for tax purposes. Our society is horrible.

Its 21st Century you can get divorced mate ;)
Marriage is a very important step and people undertake it ONLY if they are sure in their choice. Like if you are really sure that you love the person, BUT not only love and attraction mean something. You must feel good around the person, can talk and love to talk to person.

You must feel comfortable around the person and always have something to talk about. Well, you always have something to talk about but it could be important as well. Don't look on outside look on INSIDE, that what matters.Be careful to mess up Love and Attraction as well, its soo easy to do.

And Yes we are programmed to love. Every human being or animal programmed to LOVE. we search through our lives for TRUE LOVE. Some are lucky and find it early but most find it LATER. Marriage is very important step BUT not irreversible, you can get divorce.

But look very carefully, think it over very closely and then decide.
I Wish you Best Of All and possibly Future Happy Marriage mate ;)

"Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
This I tell you brother
You cant have one without the other"

On a serious note...I just think people should wait longer you know? love isn't enough, you need to respect & honour your partner as well as love them and see them as your friend to. I will not marry until i think we're ready for it. There is no need to rush as we are going to be spending the rest of our lives together anyway so....!

naturally, men look for mates by how they look, women look for men who are dependable, for two reasons. One, so support them, and to care for the children, it's just an instinct we have as people, it's also the same with animals, well most of them. That's one version of marrying without love. For breeding and childcare purposes.
Love can develope, but that's what most people look for and a lot of the time, it doesn't come.

I think you have to start with friendship and then let love develop through the friendship........otherwise the marriage will be a disaster

Love and marriage are different. Love is life but marriage is not such. We can live without marriage but we cannot live longer without love. Moreover, marriage is compermise and negotiation.

I don't think we're programmed at all. I think some people are lucky enough to find love, and others THINK they've found love but really haven't.
