I have exactly the same problem mate. Traditionally, like most people in the US, I have grown up watching American football and have always enjoyed it. Recently though I began watching football(soccer) and have fallen in love with the sport. I love the pace of the game, and the skill of the players. I have actually begun watching more soccer than football, so I guess that proves I like soccer better.

american football is slow...Soccer is by far the most popular game in the world. Why do you think there are 204 leagues in the FIFA. Its a game of endurance, skill, speed and "magia". Rythm and passion. players run during 45 minutes straight I want to see any american athlete doing that! they usually sit, have some gatorade and dry their sweat....now thast gay! Americans have such ADD problems they just cant stand to watch a 45minute half game. they need to stand up and shove a hot dog and get drunk.
I wouldnt change the feeling of watching a final, when all the stadium is quite and when the whistle blows, final! All the whole stadium goes crazy and so many emotions come to you.
Then all the city goes crazy and party all night long!! I love it!!!
It is a feeling everyone but people from the states have felt, for the team they love..
Football has brought the world together. Cultures and races and languages. Love+hate =passion!
anyways stick to your nascar races and long-ars baseball games..we will continue to love and thrive on Football!

OMG.... don't even compare Soccer with anything else... and what's up with the name "soccer?" for god's sake it's called football... what american football has to do with foot? it's silly... Football (or Soccer) is the best sport that mankind has ever known or will ever know!!! Goooo Italy...

i dont play either sport so take it from me over anyone, because people are just going to favor the sport they play.
it takes more skill to play soccer in my opinion. you need to be in much greater shape and be able to run for 45 minutes without a break. some of the soccer players out there are amazing and its fun to watch.
football on the other hand, well most football players piss me off. the only football i can really watch is notre dame and the giants. if my team isn't playing, i can't watch football.
FOOTBALL IS ONE OF THE MOST BORING SPORTS TO WATCH!!!

both have there good points, but i'm goinging to say that soccer is better to play, but football is better to watch. also, soccer is harder to play. however, due to the low amounts of scoreing, and since it's "non-contact", it is less fun to watch than football. but u have to be able to run for 45 min at a time, have excellent agility and ball handleing skills, so its harder to play. Soccer is also much more popular.

Football is because you show more heart but then again Soccer you do run more but you can't hit people and get away with it
