John Kerry continues to open his mouth primarily to change feet.

The outrageous insult John Kerry made about our U.S. Military in Pasadena Monday , was a cheap attempt to further degrade American soldiers . It was no joke -as he is still trying to get us to believe . His half-hearted attempt to apologize ( in a statement on a website ) 2-days late -after he said , Tuesday that he had nothing to apologize for -is most insincere . He still insists he did nothing wrong -and IF he offended anyone -IF- then he is sorry . If not, he did nothing wrong ! It was "misinterpreted", according to John Kerry . There are only so many ways you can call our troops stupid and he used several of them .As for his now trying to take cheap shots at George W. Bush-Bush got better grades than John Kerry did at Yale ; and G.W. Bush has a Harvard MBA .
Kerry Swift-Boated himself , plain & simple -he couldn't help himself show his loathing for our troops . He called a press conference yesterday to say he wouldn't apologize-but today -no press conference for his too late , 2-days later damage control remarks .

It was a stupid thing to say especially if he's serious about running for office again in 2008. Kerry is generally an idiot anyway. The democratic party needs to come up with a candidate people can vote for if they ever want to regain the White House. A friend of mine that's stationed in Baghdad had this to say on the subject:

Well according to John Kerry, I'm not educated, haven't made the most of it, didn't study hard, didn't do my homework, make no effort to be smart, and didn't do well. Apparently I'm stupid and because of it I ended up in Iraq.

"Education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." -John Kerry

I guess this was a shot at President Bush, trying to make a joke.
But, whatever it came out how he said it and that's exactly how I perceived it. But since I am too stupid and uneducated and am stuck in Iraq, I'm going to go eat some dinner and recollect on the life experiences I've learned here. Life experiences that you'll never learn in any school, college, or studying from.

Ironically enough an educated person once told me, "Life is the greatest teacher of all".

Kerry says he was joking "this time" about Bush and that he forgot to include the punch line. I have to wonder was he joking last year when he said our soldiers in Iraq were murderers and killing and raping innocent women and children. OR....was he also stating his personal beliefs then, but just didn't get challenged because it wasn't an election year? I believe he was more stating the truth than not, but he couldn't take the flack this time.

What Kerry said was aimed directly at Bush. He never should have said it in the first place. I'm a democrat and i don't want him to run anyway. Did you know that the military lowered its requirements for recruits? Seems you can have a poice record now and join up, and they look the other way. What Bush has done with our military is the bigger issue here, and that was Kerry's aim. I'm just curious what righties think of this clip of Bush in 2004. Someone out there please tell me this man is not making a mockery of our troops.

These kinds of gaffes are made all the time by politicians but they usually don't make the news. Right now there is very little news worth reporting, and the Republicans need everything they can get at the moment to win on the 7th.

Bush is famous for his gaffes. He's made hundreds. The problem with Kerry's is that his comment strikes a chord. People already believe what he said to be true, and don't like it.

Much ado about nothing. How touchy we have become! A politician who is not even running for office makes a comment about a current national issue, and we are all hot to trot because we are told that he is insulting the troops in Iraq? This situation is very instructive in two ways (at least):

1) How reactionary we have allowed ourselves to become because of the patriotic symbols used to manipulate our attention.

2) How someone who dares say something that may disagree with current policy must be an enemy of the state.

These two principles are seen in full operation in dictatorships, kingdoms, communist states, the Soviet Union, certainly Stalin's Russia. They did not used to be how Americans behaved - it was what made America different. We could trust other Americans to disagree with policy & express themselves the way the first ammendment to the constitution guaranteed they could disagree- that's what freedom was - living & letting other's live their lives in liberty.

It's very sad to me that so much seems to have been lost in such a short time, and hardly anyone seems to notice the difference.

I think it proved what an elitist, pompous *** he is, as well as how out of touch with America he is.

And for God's sake - get your facts straight! Foley, while certainly a bottom-feeder, did not have sex with the page. That would be Gerry Studds, a Democrat. Foley just wanted to have sex w/a page, Studds got a 17-yr-old drunk and actually DID it. Then, when he died, he was hailed by the left for being the first openly gay congressman. Disgusting.

I really don't think he meant for it to come out that way. It has happened to everyone at some point (granted most of us are not making a speech) where you say something and it sounds good in your head but when you try to say it it becomes jumbled and doesn't sound at all like you meant it to. Unfortunately his poor choice of words ended up being blasted worldwide by our 'pit bull' like press. It seems they're always looking for a way to drag someone down.

I think im bored with it now because everyone knows he screwed up. How silly he looks now... and how tired I am of seeing people argue about it... everyone agrees he came across badly.... but you gotta admit even the president sounds like a moron everytime he gives a speech as well...

at least he wasnt trying to have sexual encounters with minors.

seriosly Kerry has been one in every 5 questions tonite and everytime its the same two questions... "did he say something very bad? Is he the devil?" or "does anyone know what he really meant to say?" urg....
