First, quit spending it on needless stuff. Let it sit in the bank until you have enough to open an account with a firm, either for a money market or fund, between $1,000 - $3,000. Then continuously invest additional funds as aquired. Don't withdraw, allow it to build and reinvest.

You should really save your money first before you start to invest. To open any kind of investment account you'll need a minimum deposit of $500+ depending on the place you set up with. You can start whats called a "Money Market Account" which earns up to 5%+ interest on your savings and is essentially a managed mutual fund with no management fees. Start a money market account to get your seed money for your first investments.

If you want to skip the initial deposit part, a lot of investment firms like e*trade will let you open a Roth IRA account with monthly deducations of like $5-$50 from your checking/savings account. Try etrade http://www.etrade.com

There is a program that's cheap called "No Down Payment" where you can invest in buildings with no money, and actually recieve cash at closing. A well known man named "Carlton" I think made it and most people bought their first building within 2 weeks and actually made money when they bought it!
Google it, and I'm sure you'll find it. Purchase is neccesary, but it's worth it.
