Depends on your carrier and their testing regiment, most companies either have EVDO or are working/testing it. Call up your service provider to get a detailed (rough estimate) of when you'll be able to get it.

(however to use it you have to get a new phone and then you'll burn through data usage, therefore you'd have to get a package so you don't owe the company 5,000 a month........... sorry rambling...... but seriously it's a phone, ya wanna listen to music, get an ipod!!!!!)

i don't understand what exactly you want to know.

most phones now already have "multimedia" on them...most of them can get text and photos...and the newer ones have video, availablity depends on your phone and subscription.

multimedia has been around..well...a LONG time.
