Depends. I have a PDA running Palm and is absolutely fine. Videos and music are all good. But if you need Business App.s' like Word and Excel that you can use (On Palm you can only view really) and if you want a known format and settings, then go for Windows. Those PDA's or really Pocket PC's are much nicer and swankier too.

Previous posters don't know very much about PDA's in general, and know nothing about Palm OS.

Palm OS PDA's work seamlessly with MS Office documents. It is absurd to think they don't. Furthermore, you can take photos and shoot movies with the Palm Treo 700p, The Palm Treo 700w (the windows version) does the same thing.

The truth is, it doesn't matter which OS you use. They are about equal in power and stability. I like Palm, I'm used to it, I know it, and I have a lot of programs written for it. But only a fool believes there is ANY significant difference between the Palm and Windows handheld OS. Select your PDA based on features and price.

I happen to use the Windows Mobile Units -- I can easily transfer back and forth my files from the Windows based Laptop I use -- and take them with and view them/edit them on the fly with the PDA -- which means a LOT less weight when I go out and about.
