Two names come to mind right off, one of which is not necessarily a politician... Ross Perot and Kucinich.
Perot because he had his own billions; therefore, rejected special interest groups influencing him.
Kucinich because in a nutshell, the man has more integrity in his little toe than most politicians have in their entire body. If he doesn't believe in an issue, he will reject special interest groups in a flash.
I don't think all politicians start out corrupt but that politics turns them that way.

Unless you have enough money to finance your own campaign I dont think its possible. You may start out uncorrup but by the time you finish you are just as bad as any of them. Its sad, alot of politicians im sure start out with the best of intentions.

Well, George Washington said to stay out of partisan politics, look what happened. Alot like the biblical tale of Adam and Eve. God said don't do it, and they did it anyway. We are such frustrating creatures, sometimes.

Maybe Harry S. Truman. All the others, if you read history, had some special interest group behind them.
