some dumb person told me he thinks we mixed black white people hate ourselves and always marry white or dark black peole. im tired of the media always pairing biracial people with dark blacks or rednecks. some mulattos marry each other, so why not cast a family full of mulattos. its racist. whites can have each other and blacks can have each other, but we mixed race cant.

I didn't realize that this was such a big issue. My husband is bi-racial and so is my 1st son. I think that that's how the media banks off of things-----creating and building on stereotypes. If you want to get together with another bi-racial person, go ahead on. It doesn't make a difference one way or another to me....

Redneck? Isn't that a race based put-down? Yes, I realize many people refer to themselves as rednecks.
And why are you so obsessed with race and who does or doesn't marry who? I think you're being really paranoid.

I hope that is not true. Biracial people, especially children, are beautiful.
I think it may be hard for them to fit in - too light to be "black", too dark to be "white". But in this day and age, I hope that everyone can be accepted, regardless of the shade of their skin. We should all be beyond that by now.

u r right. i hate the way us mixed ppl are portrayed. we don't hate ourselves and we actually do like the way we are. it's so stupid the way ppl assume that mixed ppl can't be with other mixed ppl. i kno exactly where ur comin from and ur right- it IS racist and streotypical.
