Im really wanting to buy a psp or an ipod but i dont know which is the better purchase. I download lots of music and have a about 5 or 6 movies downloaded. I know that all of it will be able to fit on the ipod but i dont think that i have enough music to ever feel one up and i dont want to buy something with all that memory and not use it. Im a little worried about the amount of memory that comes with the psp. With that being said I know that with the psp you can buy movies and games for it which isnt a problem but i would still like to be able to fit all of my music and games on it. Does anyone know the largest memory card that you can purchase for the psp? Or is the ipod just a better deal?

PSP definetinely, only one thing that is a disadvantage of the PSP is all the $money$ u have to spend on media. U got all those UMD's (come in two flavors: Games, Movies) and Memory Sticks. U will end up spending more than the system itself for all the extra media. And that spending is required for u to get anything out of the system. I'm not saying PSP is bad, otherwise I woul'nt have gotten one, im just comparing it to the ipod. Cuz with the pod, the one good thingis u don't gotta buy all the media. U just simply download everything, and if u use bearshare or torrents, u can synch ur ipod to where u just download for FREE and theprogram transfers it automatically to the device. It will basically be cheaper in terms of content than PSP. U can buy mem. sticks up to 4GB currently and that is comparable to the Nano. that is plenty of space for a SANE person.

see, it's better to have the extra memory and not use it than to not have enough.
i went the PSP route over an ipod and while the PSP has that ooooh factor of being a nice gaming device (i still miss mine whenever i think about Ridge Racer), and while it made a decent music player and supports more formats than the ipod...those memory sticks are expensive.
you should weigh this out...do you want your music or music and games....your downloaded movies...don't talk about them here...don't even talk about your downloaded music...it's illegal, however, i'm answering your question and staying on the generic side of things, but, while I will say your music will work...your movies on the PSP...usually..no..it's not easy.
memory stick duo's are expensive..and you'll need a LOT of them to equal the storage capicity of an ipod..i personally don't even like the ipod.
even if you get a hard disk based system and you have more space than you need...that's good, you don't have to choose what cd's of yours to take..and plus, you always have the additional space for more music you may extract off your nice shrink-wrapped purchased CD's.

well the psp is def. better! BUT of course it is a bit bigger/heavier...but it has more features and expandible memory! when you get tired of music you can watch a movie!! with a bigger screen than the video ipod!
