Ipods and usb ports...?

I just got an ipod and i don't know what it means when it talks about the differences in USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 My computer has 3 different USB ports and I'm confused as to which one I should use. How do I know which one is 2.0 or 1.1? I already looked at the owner's manual and it doesn't specify which one is which. Can anybody help me out?

It won't matter to the Ipod, althought 2.0 or higher is supposedly faster. Just plug it in each and if you don't get the pop-up message for anything less, it's a 2.0 or higher.
