The plot below sounds pretty cool:
Peter Parker basks in the spotlight with his public success as his superhero alter ego, Spider-Man. Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy pursue Parker for his affections, and Parker begins to grow overconfident, neglecting those who care for him.
As Spider-Man, he battles Sandman and his former friend Harry Osborn. During this time, an unusual symbiote bonds with Spider-Man, influencing his behavior for the worse. As a result, Spider-Man has to fight the villain within, until he finally tears the symbiote from his body.
After parting from Spider-Man, the symbiote finds a new host in Eddie Brock, Jr., who becomes Venom. In addition to Spider-Man facing the symbiote, Sandman has an unclear role in his contact with Peter's Uncle Ben, before Ben's death in the first film.

I personally have been disappointed in Comic Book movies, Spiderman is the exception. But with all the villains/characters, it will be too hard to maintain a cohesive storyline (a la X-3)

If they stick to a solid formula, it could be the big hit of the summer.
How well it will do against Shrek 3 and Pirates 3 is another matter.

Spidey 3 should be good. I believe Heath Ledger is playing a baddy!

Looks great. I like that they picked Venom as the villain in this one. Even the pic on the website look great.

well i guess so, i actually think they should have gone with a better villian for this movie..i mean Sandman?!? they soo could have gone with mysterio,scorpion,the hob goblin,carnage...jeez...outta all of those,sandman? lol....oh and well peter p's love interest changes so that should be fun.I thought that the cat-lady was goign to come out,i forgot her name....but shes a blonde....but yea...who knows
