I have to watch this movie for my Diversity in the Crimianl Justice System class. I really don't want to. I try to avoid movies that will upset me. On a scale of 1-10 how much did this movie upset you?

I guess it depends what upsets you...violence? Sexual harrassment? Prejudice? Cause that movie has all those themes in it. I don't remember being particularly upset by it, more like it provoked my thoughts and made me think about the world in a different way, which is always a good thing.
I'm not sure what else to tell you but that...good luck, and just remember it is only a movie, and not real :)

About a 6 but I do like the moral of the movie.

I have not seen it personally, but my fiancee has and she cried. So I would rate it a 10 based on that alone. I believe that I would be too mad to get upset because racism/prejudice is still prevalent, but subtle at times.

7. It upset me in the way of Matt Dillon molesting that guys wife. the movies is fantastic though. It won an Oscar and it really makes you dissect why people act the way they do.

I would rate it a "6". It takes place in Los Angeles and it deals with real issues that happen in such a large city. I found it hard to watch such raw racism and how vicious people can be.

about a 5. I liked the whole premise of the story because it shows the injustice of racism but then shows the compassion in the people who were previously racist.

It didn't upset me at all. There were dramatic parts and there were funny parts too. Try it. You might like it!
