I would have to say losing my husband in a plane crash or anything for that matter. He is the most important thing in my life and without him I do not know how I would survive.

My #1 fear is that humanity will turn out to be so short-sighted and selfish that the earth will suffer a runaway greenhouse effect that will destroy most if not all life - and the species that go extinct first are the more complex ones, like us.

A close 2nd is the fear that the USA and other countries will be taken over by malignant, theocratic governments of the denomination of your choice. Religion is bad enough, but religious governments are always nightmares of oppression and murder - think of the thousand-year Christian Dark Ages and the present-day Muslim Taliban.

There isn't really anything that frightens me but power intimidates me. A person in possession of power can do so much to help or harm others. Imagining immense power being thrust upon myself is the closest I get to fear. Power so often leads a person astray that it would be a big inner struggle to always look at what is best for the majority and proceed with the highest purpose in mind.

my biggest fear is to face myself, my selfishness. i cant stand seeing people around doing better than i do. i wont harm them, but cant stop my jealousy arouse. That i often put myself into a struggling situation that my another part play a big thinking role against my consciences. for e.g, seeing people about to trip over a piece of log who is someone i'm jealous at or competing with, i would have kept my mouth shut and see him trip. This is just an trivial example. i had been set things up in breaking someone's relationship and even getting people sacked.

i feel bad and guilty all the time cuz i'm too dangerous in a way. so i need to keep couple of friends with all my sincerity and love, having real deep talk in regular basis to them, to keep them alert whenever i'm subconsciously going over the line so as to stop me and warn me.

Hurricanes/tornadoes....anything to do with strong winds, because that's one cataclysm I wouldn't be able to escape. Water or fire is survivable, but not wind.
