I was 14 and my dad decided to leave our family- he was having an affair. My mom told me and my three younger siblings to hold hands and pray for him to come back. He didn't come back.

What a great question but I honestly can't answer it... I can't think of one particular time that was the sadest... I mean I have had sad times losing a loved one or a pet but can't place one as the sadest. Thanks for asking anyway !

Happy November !

The day my dad died about 5 years ago this May. It was sudden, basically fell over dead from a heart attack. Seems to have been genetic, because he wasn't fat at all, and his dad also had the same thing, but was caught early and prevented. He was 48 when he died, and I was 14. I watched him die right in front of me and there was nothing I could do. We did everything together, he was coaching my baseball team when it happened.

The day that I finally realized that my first husband and I would not spend the rest of our lives together. Some people don't consider divorce to be that serious, but it feels like a thousand deaths if you are still in love.

I, like cheez mastah, watched my father die of a heart attack in front of me, on the couch in the living room. I was 11, he was a mere 42, and it shaped me for many years afterwards.

Calling it 'sad' is almost a joke - it was so much worse than sad.

The night before and morning my sister died of cancer. My whole family (there are 5 kids and both my parents) were all there. Though it was time for her to go, it was hard to say goodbye.

Any of the days my depression was the worst when I had it.

Though I know when my pet or family member dies that will be the saddest day.
