I think that people are attracted by people with similar qualities, and they will make the best kind of relationships, so yes, I think it is a good way to live. For instance, if someone likes to use little white lies to wander through life and you like to be honest all the time, then you would never have a meaningful relationship with that person, even though they may have a "nice" personality.

It depends. Some qualities that are opposite are attractive to the other person in the relationship. It really depends on your likes--experimentation and exploration usually is also what tkeeps relationships going...so sometimes grouping them by similar qualities would make living boring...imagine someone pairing you up with yourself? It would be quite boring...

Part of what humans like, due to the social hardwiring construct, is to have 'surprise' so that change can keep life having some meaning and new things to explore and experience....because they get too wild and they die inside as they age because the "adventure" the "surprise" they so sought they did not find.

adventure, and surprise.....can be appropriately categorized as TAO (the chinese word for the undefined)...everything that is undefined, turns to rules, which are meant to be broken---and everything becomes a formula following paradigm..However, it is never wise to seek TAO too hard...for too seek TAO, would be to loose it even more....TAO is said to be found naturally....if you try to define it...you will get away from TAO, beause TAO is undefined.

However, you should seek...Through the differences in the equation...we get a dialogue to perfect the everlasting equation of definition by aproaching TAO (the undefined)...which ironically makes you more defined...as you get closer to TAO...

but you can only get more defined...by having a molder...an inherent change of TAO which you find through this....wrestless need...which can be appropriately categorized as "the desire"

Somethings are better accomplished through teamwork and some are not. Much like having a baby. It requires two people that love each other to be best. Different times a child needs both parents working together and other times individually. From a child's eyes ask yourself did he or she need the group of two parents or is it something they can work out themselves.

Transfer this to a larger scale of towns and cities and countries. We need each other to stand strong and when we're weak to be strong for each other. Exchange ideas and compliments and love each other. We need to allow space for everyone to grow and spread their ideas and experiences like a tree spreading it's branches so we are not left in the shadow cast by one another and can find plenty of sun and nourishment to keep growing.

I am a city(group)dweller and I try to fit in but sometimes I need to get away and rejuvenate myself and get closer to me. I go to the mountains and commune with God and nature(retreat).

That is how it has always been. It only stands to reason that people of similar likes and dislikes would find a common ground.
No one wants to feel like a fish out of water.

You choose your qualities and the people you hang out with based on the qualities you choose.

To live ethically is perhaps the best way to live despite any qualities others have. 'To thine own self be true' “And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou can not then be false to any man." - Shakespeare.

That sounds boring and very self-limiting. I love meeting people that are different, I hear and learn new things. That would not happen if similar people are grouped.
