I think his name is...Robert? Something like that. The Cyclops was the guy who clocked them on the head and stole their money...shoot, what's his name? He played Dan Connor on Roseanne. Penelope was married to Odysseus but had a number of suitors sniffing around while he was gone. There was some guy in the movie that she was going to marry because the Dapper Dan guy was gone for so long. I'm not aware of when they disguised themselves as old men in the Odyssey--as far as I know, they rode out of the Cyclops guy's cave under sheep...that's all I can think of as far as disguises go. In the Odyssey, Circe the sorceress turned all of Odysseus's men into pigs when they landed on her island, then she had her way with him for ten years. The Lotus Eaters were...uh...immortals? I think if you ate the lotus, you were trapped there or something. I guess they were kinda like the Sirens. I don't remember. Odysseus nearly drowned, like, the entire time. They were on a boat, you know. I'd say his best chance of drowning was when they went past the Scylla and Charybdis.

O Brother isn't 100% analogous to the Odyssey. But it's surprisingly close. Great movie.
