I grew up in Michigan and used to visit our northern brothers all the time. Especially after turning 19; which happens to be their legal drinking age. Anyway, Canuck is not a derogatory term; in fact Vancouver has a National Hockey League (NHL) team named the Canucks. Their mascot is a whale. Check it out at http://www.canucks.com/

I am a Canuck; it's not derogatory. I believe the origininators of the term was an Olympic ski team in the 70's known as the Crazy Canucks.

I don't think that Canuck is a derrogetory remark. Canada has a professional sports team named The Vancouver Canucks and then there were "The Crazy Canucks" members of the Alpine Ski Team. I think that it is just a fun we Canadians use to talk about ourselves.
EH?
