I think she was genuinely overwhelmed.... Compare that situation (i.e. she is hearing immense applause and adulation for here recently deceased husband) to some actress or other picking up an Oscar (say Halle Berry, Gwyneth Paltrow). She was absolutely fantastic and held up brilliantly, a very nice presentation indeed, very poignant, and well done to Sir David as well .....

Yes I did see it and it brought tears to my eyes she held her head up well under very difficult circumstances and I was pleased that the audience gave her the standing ovation she deserved obviously it was in respect of her husband but hey that took guts.
I once saw an interview with Steve and he very much respected David so it was a fitting tribute to have her hand over award which was better than others they used.

Seriously, I think it was all staged and planned that she would have a whimper.
