I'm sick of hearing 'if your not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear from being on CCTV'

If you are taking a shower, dressing your kids or just watching TV you close the curtains not because your are doing anything illeagal, immoral or wrong but because you just want some privacy!

Does anyone here not mind being on CCTV for a large proportion of there lives?

Yes. I think we are all acting like a bunch of sheep with blinkers on (we don't want the trauma of seeing the wolves herding us).

We forget that the police are there to enforce the law and not to "protect" us. If it comes to martial law (I'm not talking about the fat TV detective), then whoever is in charge will be the law. Of course he may not be called Adolf, but we could get a modern form of national socialism.

If you look at it from a different perspective and view the cctv as electronic policemen , then they cant be doing anything other than good , they are there for the protection of the community as a whole and do a brilliant job bringing criminals and terrorists to justice , it would be immpossible to have 3000 bobbies patroling every high street , car park , airport etc etc , and to suggest that we'r being watched in our own homes is just rediculous , if you ever got mugged or your car stolen then you'd be gratefull the camera was there to help catch the scum that did it , and yes it's right , the only people that should be worried are the criminals

It's the PRICE we have to pay for letting Discipline and Security Go!

Abusive behaviour which laws were meant to stop has turned round and bitten us! You cant smack a child without someone shouting 'ABUSE' so what happens when you cant find a way and you lose your temper and really do become abusive.
Or you give up and let the child have its own way even knowing they could be getting into trouble!

I would love to be able to go shopping without feeling watched too but I'm glad they are there if I have to walk past a group of noisy teenagers or drunks spilling out of the pubs!

And I can only take your word for it that nothing is going on in your home? I dont know if you are an HONEST person, Do I?

I dont mind it at all. There really is only one thing to consider here, if you had a member of your family badly hurt or even killed, would you be just a bit annoyed if you were told, that although it happened in an open public place, there was no cctv in which to find the vital evidence. I think i would rather have the crimanals caught on tape, than not caught at all. This isnt about our privacy, its about our safety, and the safety of our children.

i imagine it develop into cool even as it develop into for colleges in hardship-free words, now i imagine that's finished garbage. i'm an quaint man or woman, I omit the old layouts of social networks from 2003 - 2005. those were strong cases. I dislike facebook distinctly with the aid of the undeniable fact that's a malicious information superhighway website. It does no longer connect you with absolutely everyone. people do no longer connect on a exhibit screen. Even facebook does no longer evaluate to actual interplay. in case you've forgotten, we nonetheless have cell phones and phones and so on. What would properly be better easier than to %. up the phone, dial some numbers and bam, you've were given a communication. You chance your man or woman records through utilising dumbbook.

i hate the fact that it has to be this way but i think it's neccessary. Mean there's so many trouble makers nowadays that spoil life for the rest of us. Unfortunately it's the way it's always been, the minority making trouble for the majority. At least in cases of privacy. On the other hand if they're going to make us have CCTV everywhere then they ought to make them worthwhile. They should be of high enough resolution for use in court cases against armed robbers etc.

I love CCTV. I think we should have it in more places.

It makes me feel a little bit safer when I'm walking aound - especially at night.

The moaners probably refer to roadside cameras - but if you're not breaking the speedlimit, and you've got tax, and insurance etc. why be concerned?

Yes, its on the news that the UK is the most spied on on earth. The only place they don't have cameras is in your loo at home. Why we allow this, beats me. The cold war was about this. Even spying on citizens is less intense in North Korea. The even want all our DNA on a data base and they have secretly been doing school kids. Evil ba****ds.
