yes its very fatalistic and reminds me of my childhood and also of work and adult life and the way that time goes by so quickly but also so slowly im so glad someone else knows what i mean

especially the line "and you run and you run to catch up with the sun but its sinking coming around to come up behind you again the sun is the same in a relative way but youre older shorter of breayh and one day closer to death"

Whenever i hear the melody of Time kick in with 'Ticking away..' i feel the hairs go up on the back of my neck. Its a mind blowing song (album) and the line you quote sums up the songwriting process in an instant. Pink Floyd make it all look so easy, like the thought just popped into their heads. The mark of genius! You're right to be touched by it. x

All of Floyd's lyrics speak volumes, but funnily enough my fave track is Great Gig in the Sky which is backing vocalist givin' it all she's got.... Now where'd I put me Floyd cd's...?

Great but must admit I prefer Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Now that I am old I really know what they meant when they sang "Remember when you were young? You shone like the sun." ... excellent and still my all time favourite band.

most off there songs speak volumes thats is why they were one of the greatset bands ever to grace this world
