There are now 6 books in the series, about a Scotish man named Jamie Fraser, and his time traveling wife, Claire. A really great read, fascinating. The sixth book was recently released, called "A Breath of Snow and Ashes".

Yes, that is the first romance that involved time travel. Loved every book but the first is my favorite

I have always liked "time-travel" type stories. But try as I might, (and I have tried several times) I just cannot get into this series of novels. Quite disappointing really cause I would love to read about Jamie and Claire.
The author seems to have a dry way of writing. Theres not a lot of dialogue, and I find that dialogue or some action at the beginning bodes well for me.
A book that starts with a scene setter or a recap is, quite frankly boring, in my opinion.
