You obviously have an awesomely amazing friendship. Girls seem to be more in tune, with one another...in comparrison to guys being in tune with girls. I can see how this attraction came to be. I'm sure its been quit awkward. If the two of you don't want to loose your friendship, you should try and discuss the issue. Perhaps you could get her a card, or something light...that lets her know, that whatever happens, you will always be there for her. You could talk about your attraction to one another...and find out if it was just curiousity or if it involves more. Regardless, let her know, that you will always be her friend. No matter what. She is probably just as shocked as you. I've always believed that women could relate to women on a more "natural" level...you've both got in you you...you both owe it to yourselves to get to the bottom of this. I wish you the best. I'm sure it will be a Halloween to remember!

just as with "sexual encounters" with the opposite sex, when you try and mix friendship and sex, you end up in "odd" situations like this. even as much as you guys talked about it, did it ever cross your mind, that it would drastically change things between you and your friend? okay, nevermind, I won't get into the "shoulda, coulda, woulda" thing, but now that it's done, you'll have to address it sooner or later, maybe she's acting weird because she's worried about the same thing that you are. maybe it wasn't all she thought it was going to be and it was more like her disappointment that you picked up on. either way if you are (or were) best friends you should be able to talk about it and decide exactly how this make-out session effected your friendship overall. Hopefully, you didn't lose your best friend behind sexual curiosities.

I am sure the awkwardness will fade and all will be ok!
Maybe you should just ask her if she felt weird about it....or if she liked it or whatever. If she is your best friend you should be able to talk to her about it.
If it gets weird just laugh about it and act like it wasnt anything :)
