Denver has beautiful mountains,I love this city,we have been there for just 2 months on some work,we r in ca right now,i hate it,Colorado is such a beautiful state &miss it.there are 7 out of the 10 best scenic drives in the country.It is a pleasant place to live without much pollution and population

The actual Rocky Mountains are west of Denver. Denver is on the Front Range, the corridor of land just east of the mountains.

Denver was actually built on the prairie it may be a mile high but is really kind of flat , but the mountains are less than an hour west

Denver is in the foothills of the rocky mountains. To actually be on a mountain you have to actually drive out of denver.

denver itself is pretty flat but if you look to the west you see the horizon is full of mountains which are beautiful
