One of the wheels on my car makes a noise that sounds similar to chains rattling when I go over bumps. What could this be? It is a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu.

for real it could be that your car is haunted but then again it could be a broken shock or your lug nut things that hold your tire on your car could be loose or maybe you really have a chain under the hood and everytime you run over a bump it sounds like chains rattling but if i were you i would take it some mechanic and play like a helpless little girl and i'd get all whiney and pouty and say stuff 'i don't know what to do, i don't know what to do, i'm soooooooo helpless' and then see if he will check it out for free.

Wheel Bering Bad,

If Driving down road at highway speed turn steering wheel side to side a little bit, noise should stop and go away, when weight of vehicle transfering from left to right should change the sound then its a bering, just which one is bad, usually with car jacked up there should be some play in on of the wheels that has the bad bering in it. Bering should cost around 150$ from parts store
