Is this worth purchasing, or not? Is it very good? Everyone has been talking about it and I need a good thriller for a party

Great Movie!!! Tim Curry does a great job playing the killer clown.

It is a good movie because Tim Curry isn't just scary, he's a bit of a crackjack...think of Jack Nicholson in the first Batman movie...kinda that pyscho crazy killer type.
It is quite scary, but it is also a very, very long movie, and can get slow at parts...it is constantly going back and forth from the past & future, from when the characters are young to when the characters are older. I'm not sure if you or your friends would have the patience to watch a movie of this length, and not all parts are scary, it has to do with storyline, also.
I don't mean to be negative, but the ending is kind of a disappointment too. I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I never really undertstood the end, and it seemed like the whole movie was a big buildup, and then it just fizzled out.
But, it's your choice...overall, Tim Curry does a great job, and it is creepy.

I love scarey movies. I watched this one and for a month after, I would check my backseat every time I got in my car to go to work (3rd shift) The clown definitely made the movie. Very eerie. To this day I don't like clowns. Only movie that has ever really given me the creeps. Great movie!!!!

I thought that it was the worse movie ever. I thought that it sucked really bad and would have preferred not ever watching it. It was boring and everyone said how good it was. Save your money on something else.

Im another one of tim currys big fans, i love his films especially this and rocky horror picture show. his voice is amazing. It is a good movie in my opinion, and as a big curry fan u have to see it, trust me.

It's good, but it's too long for a party. The ending just about ruins it, too.

I love Stephen King. His books don't always translate well to the big screen. But this one was better than most.

No, the movie "IT" is NOT worth buying! it is a dumb movie about a clown who attacks people.

i never saw the movie, but i've heard my friend talk about it. she says it's a good movie. if you doubt about purchasing it or not, you can always go to blockbuster and rent it or something..
