Kerry`s statements just prove the how the Democrats have true contempt for the Military.
1.The Military is better educated than the general population.
2.The Military is all volunteer.
3. One can not join without a minimum of a high school degree.
4. 73.3 percent of the Enlisted Military have some college, 16.2 percent have an associate’s degree or equivalent semester hours, and 4.7 have a bachelor’s degree. 85 percent of officers have advanced degrees – 70.7 percent have master’s degrees, 12.1 percent have professional degrees and 2.5 percent have doctorate degrees.
5. Dropouts can not get in the Military. They have to go to Mc Donalds.
6. Bush out performed with better grades Kerry in the same school and Bush went further.
7. There is no draft that takes underachieving kids out of school and sends them to war, that was the Vietnam war.
8. Kerry was talking to students about education.
So Kerry`s joke doesn`t fit and he was stating what he believed about a Military he has contempt for. The "Joke" was damage control for the gullible.
Senator McCain wants an apology too.

His statement couldn't have been further from the truth. Look at the statistics for educated military members. Most are very educated.
Even those without degrees are much more intelligent than the average community college student. The problem is that the DEmocrats are made that there are so many patriotic young people in this country. Or they are mad that their hostels in Canada aren't filling up during this war.

My son is a US Army Ranger & Officer who graduated with honor from a excellent university. His friend who went through all the training with him is a Harvard graduate attorney. Both left great careers to serve their country. Both have IQs over 170, so it may be rocket science. Officers now are all college graduates, the men are bright & patriotic young people.
You , Kerry & many Democrats show such disrespect for their service. It may not be rocket science but it takes more intelligence than you guys have.

Not only are repubs offended by his stupidity, his own party members are too! They are banning him from appearing at their rally's and senator barack obama has called for an apology from him. Let's not overlook the troops that are over seas having a tough enough time dealing with combat. There is a pic of our G.I.'s holding up a sarcastic misspelled sign in contempt to his comments. For you to further expand on Kerry's comments by calling our brave troops apes is beyond offensive. You are a coward hiding behind a computer.

It's not the republicans who should be offended, it's the men in women in uniform, but the republicans are the only ones willing to stand up on their behalf. The demi-coms have made very clear their feelings about our military and the people serving in it, Kerry just topped the cake, he's the straw that broke the camels back. Praise be to GOD, he practically assured the defeat of his party next Tuesday.

Could you possibly display more ignorance in your question? Actually, in some cases war fighting IS rocket science. You do know the military fires rockets at their enemies.....right? Our military has highly technical equipment now. Fighting a war is NOT just aiming a gun at somebody and pulling a trigger. Know what you are talking about next time before you post such an uninformed question.

Republicans are more offended by Kerry's political views than his recent statement, he is a turncoat in the guise of a war veteran, a flaming liberal pretending to be a democrat.
The truth is, given your statement about the military, you obviously know little about military service.

God Bless our troops and protect them. I thank every one of them and their families for their sacrifices. John Kerry is not worth the effort to comment about.

The Democrats finally told the truth about hating our military and this should not be offensive?
From a "decorated vet?"
Shame on Kerry. Shame on you.
