First you have to come up with the improper fraction for the amount of liters:
2 2/5 = 5/5 + 5/5 + 2/5 = 12/5
Then you have to come up with the improper fraction for the conversion to pints:
1 3/4 = 4/4 + 3/4 = 7/4
Now multiply 12/5 by 7/4:
12(7) = 84
5(4) = 20
84/20 pints or
4 1/5 pints
