Should I start decorating the other areas of my house and save the Christmas tree for closer to Thanksgiving? I'm hosting the Christmas Party for my husbands office in Mid-December, but will be out of town a lot throughout November.

Sure, why not....all that work to put them up for a week or two is a rather dismal thought. I'm gonna put em up myself with in the next week or two....after I get the Hallowe'en decs away LOL

Fortunately, we live in a free country where we can put our Christmas trees up any time, even 4th of July if we so desire.

If I were you I would put everything up (unless you're getting a "real" tree, then wait on the tree part) before you go out of town. Then you needn't worry about it when you get back, and you'll be all ready for the office Christmas party.

One can put up their xmas tree whenever they decide no matter what time of the year. Now the appropriate time to put one up is the day after Thanksgiving.

why ask, do what you want, always remember whatever you do or do not do there will always be someone freakier than you. Put the tree up now, after all the christmas decs are in the shops.

you can decorate, but if it is a real tree, dont put it up unless you want a dead tree and A LOT of needles to clean up.
