the only thing the ACLU wants from Americans is our tax money... I think they should be taken off the list!

(1) The ACLU has never said that there should not be restrictions on immigration.
(2) There is not need for the ACLU to "stand up" for the citizens of the USA when an illegal immigrant (or any person, for that matter) breaks a law--that's what the United States Attorney's Office, or state prosecutorial offices, are for--they represent "the people." The point of civil rights organizations like the ACLU is to stand up for individuals, minorities, classes of society who do not have a voice.

They don't take part in those sorts of things. The ACLU looks out for civil rights violations.

The founder of the ACLU was an avowed Communist by the name of Roger Baldwin. That should tell you something!
