You meet her. Date her. Infatuation sets in. You get married. But love doesn't exist right away I don't care what anybody says. It takes years of being together. Living through the good times and the bad times. Seeing each other at their worst. And at their best. You putting up with her sh*t and her putting up with your sh*t. It actually takes years to develop an attraction for your spouse that is so strong you can't imagine life without them. I've been married to my wife for 38 years. When did I fall in "love"? Don't know exactly...but I've reached the point where I can't imagine life without her.

when I saw her leaning on the railing on the porch of my cabin first thing in the morning while she was listening to the song birds,squirrels and the bull elk bugling. It was after we made love for the first time after a ten month relationship of getting to know one another. I was bringing her a cup of coffee and when I steeped out onto the porch from the kitchen, I just for a moment,looked at her from behind and I knew from that point forward, i was in love. after I set her cup on the rail and put my arms around her waist and kissed her on the back of the neck, there was no going back. :)

When I looked up and saw her sitting down at the desk in front of me in Algebra class in high school 45 years ago.

We had been dating about a week. She came to my work at lunch time, and gave me a lunch she had prepared the night before. I could not believe she went out of her way to not only make me lunch, but then deliver it to me. That is when I knew.
