I can say with the utmost confidence that neither the colts nor the bears will go to the superbowl. The breakout teams in the regular season are never a presence at "the big game." IMHO, the top contender is the Saints. Drew Brees has really found his niche there and Reggie Bush is a phenom. The Ravens have a shot at it too. The other team could be anyone. On a total shot in the dark, I'd bank on an AFC West dark horse making the Superbowl this year (Either Chiefs or Denver).

As much as I truly, honestly, hate to admit both teams, I think the most likely teams to reach the Super Bowl are the Giants and the Patriots, neither of whom I like. The Giants have been on an absolute tear recently, and if they can stay healthy, can play with anyone in the NFC, although their upcoming game with the Bears will be interesting. As for the Patriots, by process of elimination, I think the best two teams in the AFC are the Patriots and Colts, and the Patriots seem to have Peyton Manning's number in January.
If this scenario played out, I'd have to cheer for the Patriots. I can't stand Eli Manning.

chicago is for real. last year was a learning experience. now, they are ready to win.. watch out!
i'm convinced that new england will find a way to get there from the AFC.
San Diego is good, but they will need a learning curve play-off run like chicago had last year
sorry folks, indy can't do it without edgerin james. denver can't win with plummer.
KC has a shot if trent green can come back from his injury.
