Just treat all other letters as constants. You can multiply, divide, add and subtract both sides of an equation and maintain the equality.

(ky+x)/ gn=0

solve for x, this means x on one side and everything else on the other, here we go

multiply each side by gn
ky + x =gn

subtract ky from both sides to leave x by itself
x=gn-ky
