It's all they got. Can't run on the war. Can't run on the economy. Can't run on immigration. Can't run on values. Can't run on records.
They literally have to run on a joke.

Maybe the Republicans want to make sure the voters see what one of the Democrat leaders thinks about the US military. Your claim that it was a bad joke COULD be seen as wrong and it could be considered by many to have been a Freudian slip. After all, I know of two other times when he accused our military to be raping and killing innocent women and children in Vietnam (1) and in Iraq (1). The Republicans KNOW the American people are not idiots and have known it for years. The reason we know is because they elected GW Bush over Al Gore and John Kerry. We are just trying to get the proper information to the voters so they can make another smart choice in these mid term elections.

I propose that the top shrink for contributions be executed away with, and that the utmost payouts in retirement nevertheless stay as they are, adjusted for inflation. Social protection isn't a "supply away" application yet one that all of us make contributions to love a chit expenses plan, and could be secure against different makes use of by capacity of the government. Do you compromise or disagree and why? while you're so traumatic approximately it then why do no longer you; first placed it returned into the internal maximum sector and make to have been no can take out funds from it for their very own activity, 2d pay returned each and every penny you have borrowed from the two Social protection and Medicare, third take the unlawful immigrants off of it and people who come over right here yet on no account paid a penny to it, and ultimately have it the comparable for each individual; in different words government officers are to take part in it and in the event that they want some thing extra they do it on their very own with out the tax payers investment it?yet, the economic stytem feeding the imbalances had on no account been incredibly replaced. They, a team of scholars, stated that all and sundry expenses of activity could be 3% or much less for each individual to develop into wealthy if needed (that could desire to be genuine additionally to taces). the terrific economic problem could be, they pronounced, while there have been no expenses of activity. Why no longer attempt this answer? the wealthy might nevertheless be wealthy. My question is: while soial protection will become a difficulty related to federal bills, why no longer artwork with a balanced or benefit funds and spend no extra effective than is offered in, as any kinfolk has to attempt for? Why no longer ban all loobying presents with the intention to get rules that serve the country? God bless u.s..

It's not about the elections, it's about what's right. How stupid does Kerry think the American people are to believe he told a "botched joke" and not to take it seriously because it was aimed at Bush? Nonsense, he can dance and squirm all he wants to avoid what he said, but he said it, it's recorded and he's not getting away with it.
Look, most people know that even if it was an intended joke, there is always a grain of truth revealed about what a peson believe in the joke. His 30 years of ragging on the military is no coincidence. He slipped up and spoke his mind. He is unpatriotic and he should really apologize to the military personnel (not the pathetic whimpy attempt today) and then RESIGN.

It wasn't a joke; it wasn't intended to be a joke. It was an insult to every person serving in the military, especially in Iraq. Democrats thought, for some reason, that he would be a good choice to help get out the troops on Tuesday. Boy, were they wrong! Now, he's been "uninvited" to campaign with any of them!
Why do Democrats think Americans are such idiots as to believe that Kerry didn't mean what he said despite any reasonable evidence to the contrary? He called the guys still in Viet Nam "baby killers" when he got back? Why wouldn't he think the military is stupid? He hasn't respected them for decades!
First, he wouldn't apologize, now he "apologizes" for a "joke malfunction" but he has yet to apologize for saying that anyone who chooses to go into the military is stupid. I hope Americans, especially anyone connected with the military, sends Kerry's Democrat friends a big message on Tuesday and shows Kerry and his shrew of a wife just how intelligent we really are.

You honestly don't see anything wrong with Kerry's comments? Seriously? Wow. I guess I'm a flabbergasted as you are, but on the other side of it.
Kerry's comments will not effect my vote, personally, but this IS a big deal. The Democrats have a long history of disliking the military - it's just unfortunate for the party that Kerry couldn't keep himself under control for another week.
And why was the "joke" defense the second excuse Kerry made? Even HE knows he screwed up!

First of all it was not a joke. I don't care how you or Kerry twist the facts it will never be a joke. Secondly President Bush is not running for anything either but has that stopped you and your kind from bashing him? Third Mark Foley is not running for anything either so why did the left and the leftist media spend three weeks on Foley? The truth is finally coming out in the last weeks of the campaign that the liberals are nothing but a bunch lying, Bush bashing people that are filled with hate and lack any morals or ideas at all.

As a military Mom, I took it very personal & will for the 1st time vote straight party. The 2 Democrats I was voting for defended Kerry's statement & then came back and apologized - too little, too late!. I can take a joke, but that was no joke. It was said to students & was advice to them. It only became a joke after the backlash began. If it is no problem, how come 6 politicans asked him to not campaign for him according to ABC & CBS.
Only a idiot can not recognize another insult from John Kerry to our military. The problem is the closing ranks & defending his at best a poor taste joke.

At least you called his so called "joke" bad. IF it was a joke (but I am sure it really wasn't), it was in despicable taste. How dare he insinuate that our troupes are among the stupid eschelon of Americans.
Kerry is not running right now but he is supporting people who are. If they try to justify what Kerry said, then they are as dangerous as he is. But I will bet that now most Democratic politicians will try to disown him now. My personal opinion is that this will not be forgotten soon, and will help the Republicans.

They don't think Americans are such idiots (at least not completely), but they are AFRAID that Americans are fed up and smart enough to know that an overthrow of the Republican majority in Congress by voting Democrat is the only way to go. I'm sure they have many of their Diebold machines in crucial states (where cheating won't be as obvious). And in order to justify another Republican "victory" after all of the scandals, corruption, and screw ups; they need a "scandal" to justify it.
That we can lose to Republicans over Kerry's words is a pathetic and ridiculous excuse and a joke, but it doesn't stop them from trying. Once you get a taste of absolute power by cheating, it's hard to give that power up.
