A QUARTER of an hour ago
I saw the most heavenly show
The night was FULL and all aglow
The WAXING CRESCENT stood tall and alive
Trying is best not to WANE that is to what it would strive
But the GIBBOUS stood, WAXING OR WANING
And new that the CRESCENT was futily straining
Because the stars were watching with NEW facination
As the men missed this site because of their jubilation
They were engrossed from the FIRST to the LAST QUARTER of watching their favorite sport station
