the one guy's rite about the vatican city. it is both the smallest country and the least populated with about 870 people.

Pitcairn is not a real country, but a UK dependency in the Pacific. They are 68, all descendants of the Bounty mutineers.

Otherwise, if you want a "real" independant country, it's Vatican City enclosed in Italy, with between 700 and 1000 inhabitants.
