Internet Explorer freezes, shuts down without warning, or the computer reboots.
This problem is often caused by out-of-date video drivers. Go to the Web site run by the manufacturer of your computer and/or video card and download, then install, the latest (non-beta) drivers for your video card.
Alternatively, you can try the following:
1.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.
Go into Classic View, Click Display, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
3.
Click the Performance or Troubleshooting tab (depending on your operating system), and then reduce hardware acceleration a notch at a time until your system stabilizes.

That's usually a symptom of your computer burning hot.... You could have a fan going bad. Try taking off your computer cover and setting it in the open (if it's in a desk) and see if it still happens.....some people run external fans near their computer to help it cool. If you have a Celeron chip, their known to burn fairly hot; watch it.... if you see your fan struggeling, you'll need a fan.
There are some other things that will make that happen - but it's usually overheating....

Usually that is a hardware/overheating issue. Open the case and clean it out with compressed air. More sure all the fans are clean and working. Make sure any cards (modem, nic, video) in the PC are plugged in tight. Usually that will fix the issue.

It could be due to overheating. Make sure all your fans are working, and that all your heatsinks are clear of dust. If everything seems ok, you could consider adding another fan to your case.
