U probably mean telekinesis.
Telekinesis (Τηλεκίνηση - in Greek letters) means to move something from a distance with the power of the mind.
We use tele- (τηλε- - in Greek) as a preword to mean something from a distance.
We use kinesis (κίνηση - in Greek) to mean movement.

The definition of encarta dictionary 'shootergr' gave is not as much correct at all. Telekinesis is not used to change shapes of something from a distance. ONLY to move something from a distance.
