Nooooo!!!!!! I am 15 and myself and all my friends are perfectly civilised people who do no harm to anyone...however, if you keep treating us as the stereotypical "yobs" we might just start acting that way =P

There has always been a perception that youth is a threat and disrespectful, but it's only the extreme that is ever reported in the media, I'm only 30 but when i was about 14 I remember the papers were always full of reports about how todays children are out of control and disrespectful, yobs. If you think back the news is always TELLING us that there is trouble on our streets, but can you really think of time when they were not saying this, there were mods and rockers in the 60's, punks in the 70's, skinheads in the 80's all of these were seen as the decline in British society yet a majority of young people just like to have fun but are still aware of respecting society and focusing on goals in their lives, just look around how many people do actually know who have been mugged, attacked, murdered or physically harmed by a gang of crazy teenagers, stop watching the news and look at whats really going on!

Unfortunately yes. The British system is so bad, that education and child up bringing here is almost impossible. Huge boundaries put on parents (no slaping, no stress to the child, walking child to the school up to the age of 13 !!! etc.) makes the youths unresponsible, not independent and almost mentally disabled comparing to the rest of the world. In result, they cannot cope with the reality later on and turn to the crime. Obviously, all depends on the environment, the child is brought up in, but only minority is lucky enough. Otherwise, we wouldn't have such opinion.

it's same everywhere, but as British elders can't say anything to their kids may be coz of government rules or being too concious about scientific researches and bleah bleah......secondly due to non existance of family bonding, kids turning into youth fly like untamed kite blown anywhere by the nasty wind.......oooo i feel pity for today's youth

I am not sure. I think teenager all over the world have their problems, which are resulting out of their family environment, the social environment and their character. I do not believe that you can point on one country and say they are the worst.

Depends on what you mean by worst...
Hooliganism..no France and holland beat us there.
drunkeness...reckon wer'e in the top 3 countries
teenage pregnacies... highest in europe!
criminal offences...about the same as other euro countries
respect for older generations.... we are getting worse but thats just as much our fault as it is theirs.
So not much difference really to other countries

I've been to many European countries and i am afraid that they are not the worst but if they don't do something with their education level and their bad drinking habbit, they will be.
