Duh, he told you--he had other priorities. Some are ment to make war, others are ment to die in it. We are "the deciders", not the die-ers.

Maybe it was not an option in his life when he was young. You do realize that when Cheney was in his early twenties his generation was not in a war at that time. How do you even know if he did or did not serve in some capacity? Fighting in a war zone is not the only way to serve your country. And why does it matter to you, anyway? My father wanted more than anything to go into the military and fight in WWII, but they rejected him for a medical reason. How do you know Cheney didn't have a medical reason? What gives you the right to judge, anyway?

There is a general disconnect between Republican politicians and fighting in wars. They need to see other people's children die for the flag.

I don't know. Why didn't Muhammad Ali? What is the point of your question other than trying to make Cheney look like a lesser person?

No Dick Cheney did not serve in Vietnam, however John Kerry did and despite even being decorated for service over there STILL hates our men and women in uniform! So your point is....

Because he's a coward, just like George W. Bush, who chose to have his daddy fake his military service just so he could have 'fun' flying a fighter jet without actually endangering his own life. -RKO-

He had other priorities. Or, so he says.
What if he would have gone? Who would he have been shooting? Anyone with him is my guess.
Why didn't Bush serve in S.E. Asia?
