Does this mean I'm pregnant if my last period was on September 27.

Anything can contribute to a missed or late period...not just pregnancy. There's only one definitive way to find out if you're pregnant...a pregnancy test.

No, not necessarily. You could just be late. If you have been sexually active after your last period, then yes it is possible that you are pregnant. However, if not, then no. Like I said earlier, you could also just be late, which is entirely natural. There are other symptoms as well; tender swollen breasts, fatigue (being tired often), nausea or vomiting, increased sensitivity to odours, abdominal bloating, frequent urination, high basal body temperature (more info:http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-symptoms#8), backaches & headaches, and Darkening of Areolas. You will need more than just one of these symptoms, because most often they are also symptoms of other illnesses, such as the flu. However, if they are constant, you should be slightly concerned. The most reliable method though is to pick up a home pregnancy test. They are fairly cheap at the local drugstore. You can also go into a walk-in clinic and they will give you one for free. If you don't want anyone finding out (say if your younger) make sure its not a family friends clinic and is further from home. However, its just a week late, and most likely is nothing out of the ordinary. After two weeks, I would suggest getting down to your local drugstore or clinic and taking the test.

It's a difficult question to answer as there are many factors which can affect your late period.

If you've been under alot of stress or worry, that can be a factor; if you've recently lost alot of weight that can be a factor; illness; irregular periods and the list goes on

There's only one way to be certain, and that's the test.

If your periods are regular you can predict your most fertile time (about 2 weeks after your period), if you had sex during that time then you really need to get it confirmed one way or the other.

I hope it all works out for the best for you.

Kim

Not necessarily. I've gone six months with no period due to stress before...many things can delay a period...such as stress, like I said, jetlag, low estrogen BC pills, etc...instead of worrying about it go pick up a pregnancy test. If it is positive then you should definately make an appointment to see a doctor to take a blood test and get the at-home test results confirmed.

Was that the first day or the last day of your period?

You can always take a test, but you're not really that late yet. I would wait a few more days to take the test.

And remember: even a faint double line is still a line.

The best way to answer that more effectivelyi s if you go to plant parent hood or to a docter and check. please don't use any of those drug store products that could show if your pregnant. it doesn't tell you the truth. so it is best to go to a docter and know what do u want? to know or be sorry? this has happen to me before when I was younger and i was afraid to go to the docter and hear the news but i wasn't pregnant and i am happy it is better to know so you wont get stress out.

Maybe...take a pregnancy test and see. You are a little late but you will never know unless you take the test. Good luck!
