You've had plenty of observations on spiders not being insects, so...how about scorpions and sawflies as insects that start with an "s"?

egactly. it's not even related to an insect. It has eight legs and no wings. It wouldn't even be considered an insect if it weren't for people who consider all "creepy crawlies" as gross insects.
