It varries, you can call and ask a few local vets. Mine charges about $30 for an office visit for small rodents.

Not too long ago, I took my step daughters medium size rat to the vet knowing that it wasn't going to make through the night and spent $278.00 on a x ray and a office visit. I would not say I wouldn't do it again but I thought the price was way too big for what he did and completely out out reason. on the other hand, it was a small price to pay to help my step daughter feel better and feel like she did everything she could do to help her little friend.

Medication adds cost.
They usually have a standard price.
Hamsters are exotic pets in the States... not too sure about UK tho.. Hence, hamster medical fees can be high... or low,... depending on your perception of expensive.

hamsters are sensitive animals, so if anything is wrong with it... i'd suggest a visit to the vets.

And yes, you should call and look around. I went to a few diff places to find one that treated hamsters.

It depends on where you live and the average vet visit fee.

I think I paid $18.00 (1/2 of the normal office visit) when I had to take my rat to the vet.

You need to call around.
