Temptation becomes less real as our spiritual nature becomes more real. But in the human condition, temptation is always at our heels. Having a better understanding of who you really are and your relationship to the Divine begins to disarm temptation in thought and action.

Because you're human. Accept it mystery lady! You ain't perfect and that's ok. Like everyone else you do what you want to do.

If you can't resist temptation, you can't resist anything.

The things you can resist are the things you don't want or like anyway. Temptation strikes because you want something.

Temptation isn't an external force. If the temptations don't lead you in to anything harmful or unkind, why do you need to resist them anyway.

That's not an excuse to delude yourself that anything you want to do is ok, not harmful etc.

Temptations usually go like this:

I want to do that..... I shouldn't do it but I want to.

I know it's bad for me but I want to.

It's wrong but I want to.

I want to.

It wouldn't be that bad for me.

It wouldn't be so wrong.

I want to.

I'm going to.

I did it.

I didn't mean to.

OMG why did I do that?

How could I have been so stupid?

I didn't want this!

Sound familiar?

Hope you're well.......interesting new ID! (smirk)

Because you're Oscar Wilde.

Besides originating that line about temptation. Wilde also said
""The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

If you give in to temptation ....that does not make you any less of a person. We are all only human and sometimes we are weak..

We are only human after all.
For everything there is a good & bad to it.
The important thing here is to know when to practise self-restraint as to not give in too easily while making well-thought out decisions.
