Color change is usually fine but rarely do they turn black. When the ammonia is very high it can burn their skin and when those burns heal they turn black. Since they seem to be healing that is good but now the nitrite could be high which can kill them just like ammonia can. Test the water and make sure you don't have any ammonia or nitrite, if you do then do water changes to bring them down. There is really nothing to can do to make them heal any faster but make sure your water is healthy. If the tank is new then read up on cycling, all tanks need to be cycled to make the water safe for the fish.

My goldfish have ALL developed black spots. It's normal and happens when they grow. As they get bigger, they can change colors as their scales flake off and replace. Completely normal! (I now have 13 goldfish btw, I love them!)
