Rarely are my dreams vivid......... however these dreams have been very vivid. What do you think it means? Do you think it's symbolic of something? If so is it symbolic of something that is going to occur to the world or just in my own day to day life?

I would say it depends on the context of the dreams and what volcanoes mean to you. Are you climbing it? Being thrown in? Running from it? Is it erupting? Is it a particular volcano? As a stand alone symbol, they can speak of power or of disaster (as in Mt. Saint Helens).

Vivid dreams and reoccuring dreams can often be a message of your subconscious mind to your conscious mind, a message of your spirit to your mind, or an unconscious belief, desire, or fear being played out in symbolic fashion.

I would write down what you remember in each dream and look for repeated patterns. Then I would visit dream analysis, dream interpretation or dream symbol sites on the web and get a feel for the symbolism of volcanoes and mountains. There are quite a few that can offer helpful insights to understanding dream symbolism, as well as some that share similar dreams from other people. Be careful of interpretations that say "volcanoes ALWAYS symbolize..." Context is important to interpretation!

To see a volcano in your dream, indicates that you are unable to control emotions, particularly if the volcano is erupting. The end result may be damaging and hurtful.

Some dreams can be a prognostication of a pending event. Perhaps your recurrent volcano dreams are a Divine prophecy of a catastrophic volcanic eruption in the near future. But without more details it is impossible to know what action to take. If it bothers you, then pray for one week (7 days) to Christ Jesus and ask Him to reveal the meaning of the dream to you.

On the other hand, other types of dreams are strictly symbolic, where an aspect of yourself is projected as the main subject in the dream. Thus the volcano is a symbolic attribute of yourself. Some translation may be deciphered by examining the etymology of the words or names being presented to you in the dream. To get you started in deciphering your dream, following are the etymologies of "vulcano" (volcano) and the name of the Roman god "Vulcan", the origin of the word "volcano":

ETYMOLOGY OF VOLCANO:
1613, from It. vulcano "burning mountain," from L. Vulcanus "Vulcan," Roman god of fire, also "fire, flames, volcano" (see Vulcan). The name was first applied to Mt. Etna by the Romans, who believed it was the forge of Vulcan. Volcanic first recorded 1774, from Fr. volcanique. Fig. sense of "prone to explosive activity" is attested from 1854.

ETYMOLOGY OF VULCAN:
god of fire and metal-work in Roman mythology, 1513, from L. Vulcanus, a word of Etruscan origin. Often with allusions to his lameness and the unfaithfulness of his wife, Venus. As the name of a hypothetical planet between Mercury and the Sun, it is attested from 1870. The Roman feast of Vulcanalia was on Aug. 23.

The two elements that leap out are:

1) "prone to explosive activity"

2) "allusions to his (your) lameness and the unfaithfulness (to his consort)” Your consort in Life should be God. This appears to indicate your lameness and unfaithfulness to God.

My analysis is that your unfaithfulness and lack of commitment to God is about to cause a critical eruption in your Life, turmoil, due to your neglect of inviting participation by God in your Life.

If I were you, I would seek His face immediately.

God Bless.

Have you been watching volcanoes on TV, internet, or discussing them lately? Other than that they can be a symbol for repressed emotion.
