when you end those ten years, you will be given 100 million dollars? Would you want be isolated from all of your family/friends? Would you want to be secluded from civilization for an entire decade and a half? Not knowing what's going on in the political, social, and technological world? Would you basically throw away 15 years of your life?

You read that weird short story didnt you?

And I wrote an essay once saying that I would. I would go into isolation for so many years. Not just for money, but because in those times of solitude you can accomplish great things

No because after the years, you'd feel bitter because as the years past, les and less folks came to visit you. If you are a solitary person, you may do fine...but you'd have missed out on 15 years of life outside (who the president was, world events, etc.) the money would just keep you occupied once you got out, but that's it.
