While all the previous answers were of course correct in saying that Europe is in the Northern Hemisphere, there is also another way of dividing our planet into hemispheres, namely Eastern and Western, the dividing lines being the longitude of Greenwich, England and the International Dateline.
According to that division, most of Europe is situated within the Eastern Hemisphere, with the exception of parts of the British Isles and Portugal.

There is an imaginary line around the world halfway between the north pole and the south pole. It is called the 'equator' and divides the world into two parts, called 'hemispheres' Everything above the equator is the northern hemisphere and everything below is the southern hemisphere. Europe is above the equator, so it is in the northern hemisphere. Cool, huh?
