My husband is obsessed with my belly button and is always stickin his finger in it... Most times it gets like sucktioned in there....
I wash everyday.....just so you know Im not some sick person who never cleanses myself.... But why does it smell?

If it's really deep it's probably because your belly is extended by fatty tissue. Nothing to be ashamed of. As to the smell, almost all bad smells from our body are caused by bacteria. Having a deep belly button means you're providing a dark, warm and damp space for bacteria to live in, and they just love that environment. Solution? Rinse out your belly button regularly with anti-bacterial soap. Isopropyl alcohol might help too, but try it with a small amount first. Belly buttons can be very sensitive.

I have the same issue and as much as it is nasty as heck I have gone to numerous doctors and the same old thing is said. Keep it dry and I am always given a creme called hydrocortisone creme (used for skin irritations, itching and redness). I put it on when it gets red and itchy and smells. This problem has never gotten better and at times I can go weeks without it happening, so when it does I put the creme in it wait about 3 mins and then wipe it almost dry with a dry cloth. Dont worry it isnt a bad thing its common with ppl with deep inny's dont let others try to scare you into thinking its something more than it is. Oh and dont touch it it makes it hurt and irritates it more :) Best of luck )

i take a shower everyday and also my belly button smells after a while also my boy friends tells me the same thing i think i m going to damp my boy friend and find another boy friend that does not care so mush of my belly button

I would say my best guess it that is is probably bacteria that gets trapped in there. Perhaps you could wash it out with soap and cotton swabs each day :)

Some people have innies and some have outties, but you should clean it for sure try using rubbing alcohol... Are you drying it out?
