I am terrified of dead fish. I can eat fish (as long as it doesn't look like a fish e.g. fish cakes), watch fish happily in a tank and swim in the sea - just don't show me a dead fish! The thought of a dead fish floating in the sea hitting against my leg for example makes me physically feel ill just thinking of it. Or even worse - if someone tried to touch me with one. In the past, I have handled pet rets, an armadillo, stick insects, snakes, terrapins etc. I have been stung by a bee and insects don't worrry me. Why can't I overcome this phobia?
