When I am slow moving traffic I see the heat indicator in the panel,reaching red(Denger)but When the road is normal it reacts normal,please,help me giving the right answer.Thanks

electric fan not coming on?coolant level?

You don't have the wind blowing through the radiator in slow traffic. There's an electric fan behind the radiator that's supposed to come on when the engine gets hot.

Without knowing what kind of car it is, it is hard to guess. I would say either the engine fan is not working, if it has an electric fan, or you have a restriction in the coolant system somewhere.

9 times out of 10 its that the fans arent coming on...When your at high speeds the air flowing through the engine compartment is enough to keep it cool. Check the cooling fan relay first if it is fine then it will probably be the fan motor.

oh that happened to me.. everybody is saying that the fan went out that is why it overheats but in order to fix the problem u most likely need to get a new fuse... the fuse is not working.. the fuse is located in a relay box right along with ur other fuses.. but u need to find out which fuse it is.. itll let u know..

sounds like the fan is not kicking on, Try running the AC to keep it out of the red zone until you get it fixed. Also, try replacing the thermostat.
